SERVANT LEADERSHIP DALAM MENINGKATKAN KINERJA DAN KOMITMEN PEGAWAI DI YAYASAN PESAT PAPUA

Abstract


Tanpa kepemimpinan maka organisasi menjadi statis dan akhirnya gagal dalam mencapai cita-citanya. Dalam perkembangan konsep dan teori kepemimpinan kemudian lahirlah teori servant leadership (kepemimpinan pelayan). Servant leadership yang dijalankan pada organisasi bisnis, publik, dan nonprofit mampu memberikan hasil yang signifikan bagi peningkatan kinerja dan komitmen pegawai untuk mencapai tujuan, visi dan misi organisasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis servant leadership yang selama ini diperankan oleh pendiri dan pemimpin tertinggi dalam meningkatkan kinerja dan komitmen pegawai di Yayasan Pesat Papua melalui lima unsur dalam servant leadership. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah kualitatif. Sedangkan teori yang digunakan adalah menurut Irving (2005), yang meliputi kasih agape, pemberdayaan, memiliki visi, kerendahan hati, dan kepercayaan diri. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa servant leadership melalui lima unsur yang ada, yang selama ini diperankan oleh pendiri dan pemimpin tertinggi ternyata mampu meningkatkan kinerja dan komitmen pegawai Yayasan Pesat Papua.
